HRP LETTER SERIES: LETTER TO MY FRIEND ABOUT REST
Well..what a title? I do hope you had a great day or are having a great day by the time you receive my letter. I hope you do smile as I am smiling as I write this to you as it is one topic that is close to my heart.
I’ve seen people depart from our world because of stress and overworking themselves and I’ve seen a very close family member depart because he had nothing to do. In my opinion, life must truly have a balance, a scale which says all things must be done in moderation.
Friend, a lot of people are in the rat race seeking cheese everywhere and anywhere, the more we get clogged in, the easier it is to forget that there are limits in life. So my letter today to you is to encourage you not to slack however but to rest.
Your body is going to be needed to celebrate your victories so it’s wise not to be hard on yourself. As much as you work find time to connect with yourself and those that matter the most in your life. We really must remember that we are not married to a job or business or parents to it. These spaces can be swiftly filled by another, do your best but never forget to rest so you can do more and for a start stop ignoring leaves when necessary.
However, rest can mean taking a short nap, sitting in silence for a while or taking a walk, truly these are little gifts you can offer your body daily.
Friend, finally our worries fuel us into overworking ourselves. We want to get more to fill a tank that cannot really be filled. More bills will come even if you pay upfront. Mind you, hardwork can never be neglected or underestimated but understand your reason for working hard. Know sincerely that people do so little and earn more from ideas formed while they rested and connected with themselves. Try it!
Till we meet again, dearest friend do rest. Subscribe for updates on our blog. Do send us a message by mail at firstname.lastname@example.org or whatsapp at 08136621133. Keep having a great week!
