HRPHRP LETTER SERIES: LETTER TO MY WORKAHOLIC FRIEND

Dear friend,

It’s another great week and I’m glad we made it. It’s with great pleasure that I write to my workaholic friend today. A lot of people dislike Mondays obviously because it’s a new week and the weekend break is over but beyond that friend there’s this push to get it all over and done with so you don’t have to bother about it anymore. That push is just the start of being a workaholic.

It is good to do the needful at the right time but we sometimes get so excited with work that we want to push for more. This is good until it becomes a habit to outdo ourselves.

Work is good till it starts taking the place of family, friends, relationships and even rest. Friend, It’s good to be ambitious and have great dreams but it becomes bad when we are over ambitious and keep our work and gains above every other thing including our health. This is why I write to you friend.

We have to learn how to create a balance in our lives and decide not to learn any area of our lives suffer because of work. Being a workaholic without any form of leisure not just keeps you away from family/friends but yourself too. Sometimes you need space from the work and pressured environment to discover yourself.

Most importantly, it is necessary to know that the last second can never be gotten again. The memories cannot be gotten once it’s lost. Dear friend, please don’t miss the great moments with yourself, family and friends.

Till we meet again, friend set the right priorities. Feel free to drop your comments and questions, it would help a lot. For your personal questions message us at [email protected] Have a great week!

Yours truly,
