Dear Steve and Samantha,
Be quick to apologize each time you use the wrong choice of words or when you say things that didn’t come out rightly. This happens when our words don’t match up with our intentions. So, to avoid being labeled a bad person in the heat of the moment or being misunderstood, say sorry quickly and correct yourself to salvage the issue. Don’t be arrogant by playing dumb or staying silent while your words hurt the other person or your audience. It is foolishness to shun apology when your words come out wrongly in the middle of a discussion.
